Raine, Ella (Marriage - 31 Oct 1917)
Mr. Harold R. Huckstead and Miss Ella Raine were married Wednesday evening, Oct. 31, 1917, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Raine, in Pine Valley, Clark County, Wis., Rev. Colman performed the marriage ceremony. The young couple were unattended and the wedding was entirely of the quiet order, only the immediate families of the bride and groom being present.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. H.O. Huckstead, of Pleasant Ridge. He was born and brought up on the home farm there, attended high school in Neillsville, graduating in 1912; since then he has assisted his father on the farm. He is a young man of fine character, clean, upright and manly in all his work and standards of life. The bride was also brought up on Pleasant Ridge and so the two have known each other since they were children. She is a young lady of rare intelligence, fine common sense and those ideals that fit her well for the duties of a new home.
They went at once to the Huckstead home, the groom having taken charge of the farm, which they plan to carry on in the future, the groom's parents expecting to move to Neillsville. There in this beautiful ancestral home, their many friends hope to see them enter into a life of prosperity, peace and happiness.
