Robert W. Monk, son of Dr. and Mrs. R. W. Monk of this city (Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.), and Miss Ruth B. Thackery, of Glenbeulah, were married at Chicago, April 6, 1918.

The groom is in the U.S. naval Service and is now in the Recruiting Office in Milwaukee. He is a young man of fine character and education. He has had a wide experience for his age, as student, teacher and traveler. He taught for some time as instructor in manual arts in the Philippines and has been around the world. The bride is a beautiful and accomplished young lady. She has visited in Neillsville, and has a number of admiring friends here.
