Thoma, Helen (Marriage - 10 May 1918)
Mr. Wm. F. Beyer and Miss Helen Thoma were united in marriage Friday evening, May 10, 1918, at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Thoma, Rev. Reiff of Granton, performing the ceremony. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Carl Thoma.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Beyer of Portland, Ore. He was born and brought up here in the town of Pine Valley, Clark County, Wis. About ten years ago he moved to Oregon with his parents, where he has lived since, except to return for a visit. He is a young man of fine character, good habits and is well liked by all who know him. He has a position in the Central Garage.
The bride was brought up in the town of Weston and in Neillsville. She is bright and intelligent, quiet and lady-like in manner, one of the best of the young people of our city. For some time she has attended to the clerical work in the office of her father, who is County Highway Commissioner.
The young couple will make their home here, having gone to housekeeping in the Wm. Goeden house on Grand Av. We wish them the abundant success they so richly deserve.
