Counsell, Eva (Marriage - 1 Jun 1918)
Mr. roy Stanley and Miss Eva Counsell were married at high noon Jun the first 1918 at the Presbyterian Church Marshfield, the Rev. Ambrose officiating. Both Mr. Stanley and Miss Counsell are well known in the town of Grant and Neillsville, Clark County, Wis.
Mr. Stanley is a well known young farmer and Miss Counsell is a graduate of Neillsville High school, class of 1917, and taught the Cannonville school the past year with good success, and while there made many friends. A few members of the bride's and groom's families were present at the ceremony, after which they went to the home of the bride's mother, Mrs. G. E. Huckstead. Dinner was served, and all had a very pleasant time. They then took in the sights in and around the city. Sunday morning the young couple took the 3:20 train for St. Paul, where they will visit a sister of Mr. Stanley's living there. We as friends wish these young people much joy and a long and prosperous life amid much sunshine, and just enough clouds that they May appreciate all the more the many blessings they are permitted to enjoy in this our land of Liberty with the Stars and Stripes floating over us.
