Haberland, Mrs. Carl (26 Dec 1860 - 27 Sep 1918)
Mrs. Carl Haberland died at her home in this city Sept. 27, 1918, after a long illness. Deceased was born at Saarbruckin, Germany, Dec. 26, 1860; came to America in 1886, and in 1887 was married to Carl Haberland at Racine. About 28 years ago they came to Clark County, Wis., living for several years on a farm and then moving to the city.
She was a good Christian woman. Her work in life was well done. To her husband she was a companion and helpmate, looking carefully to the comforts of the home. In the community she was a kind and helpful neighbor. Her death is indeed a sad blow to the aged husband, who has the sympathy of many friends.
Mrs. Haberland left a sister and brother in Germany and one sister, Mrs. Kate Bertsch of Idaho, who came before her death.
She leaves also one stepson and two stepdaughters.
The funeral was held Monday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rev. H. Brandt officiating.
