COUNTY REPUBLICAN & PRESS (Neillsville, Wis.) 01/30/1919 Gregory, William
C. (6 Oct 1892 - 23 Jan 1919) William Clair
Gregory died at his home a mile south of Columbia, Clark County,
Wis. at about three o'clock in the morning, on Jan. 23, 1919, after
a week's illness with the flu, followed by complications. On
Wednesday consultation of physician was held at his home, but not
much hopes were held out for his recovery. Death occurred from
heart failure at the hour noted above. Will Gregory was
employed as a mail carrier out of the Columbia Post Office for some
months. Privious to that occupation he had charge of J. A.
Iverson's farm. He was born at Alma Center, Wis. Oct. 6, 1892,
being 26 years, 3 months and 18 days of age. He is survived by his
wife and two young children; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. E.
Gregory, of Humbird, four brothers and two sisters. One of the
children of the deceased is seriously ill, and it was in helping
care for the little one while he himself was ill with the flu, that
caused the relapse that resulted in his death. The funeral was
Sunday, Rev. L.B. Colman officiating. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
