(Theodore) D. (1836 - 11 Mar 1919) It was with
sincere regret that the many friends of T. D. Condit learned of his
death at Diller, Neb., on March 11, 1919. Mr. Condit was a former
resident of this city and lived here for many years. He was born in
1836 at West Bloomfield, N.J., and was united in marriage to
Katherine Peterson at Milwaukee on Oct. 30, 1857. They lived there
for five years and then moved to Neillsville, locating on a farm in
the town of Pine Valley, Clark County, Wis., west of this city.
They lived there for 20 years and then moved to Neillsville, living
in their residence on South Hewett St. up until the time of Mrs.
Condit's death. Three children were born to them, one of whom,
Lillian, died in childhood. Mr. Condit was a
man of excellent moral character and was capable and industrious
and his friends were numbered by the score. He was a member of the
Presbyterian and Congregational Churches and was a deacon in the
Congregational Church since its organization here. He was also a
member of the Neillsville lodge of Odd Fellows. Mr. Condit is
survived by his two daughters, Mrs. Paul Stange of Diller, Neb.,
and Mrs. Sarah Warmau of St. Cloud, Minn., also by five
grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. The funeral was
held on Friday afternoon in this city, services being conducted at
the Congregational Church by Rev. Longenecker under the auspices of
the Odd Fellows. ******************************* Obit: Condit, T.D. #2 (1836 – 1919) © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
