FEB 1850 - 28 Apr 1919) Herman May, an old
resident of Pine Valley, Clark County, Wis., who recently moved
into the city, died a little after midnight Monday morning, aged 69
years, 2 months and 10 days. Deceased was born in Germany; was
married to Wilhelmine Porath in 1876. They came to Milwaukee in
1883, and soon after to Neillsville, living in this locality ever
since. He was a man of excellent character, honest and a good
citizen in every way. He leaves his wife
and six children: Mrs. Wm. Ginter of Wauwatosa, Paul May of
Milwaukee, Otto May and Mrs. John Moen of Neillsville, Max May and
Mrs. S. A. Marden of Centralia, Wash. The funeral was held
Wednesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rev. H. Brandt
