COUNTY REPUBLICAN & PRESS (Neillsville, Wis.) 02/12/1920 Waters, Elizabeth
(1915? - 9 Feb 1920) Elizabeth Waters,
the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Waters of Humbird,
Clark County, Wis., died Monday Feb. 9, 1920 at the home of her
grandparents, Mrs. and Mrs. Wm. Free. About Jan. 10th, Mr. Waters
went to the hospital in Rochester, Minn., for a surgical operation
and his wife being there with him a part of the time, their little
girl aged about four and a half years and their little boy about
two years, were brought over here to stay at their grandparents'
home. Both children became sick with the measles and Sunday night
the little girl was taken with croup, and although every method
known to medicine was used to relieve her she died Monday
afternoon. Mrs. waters had been here several days, but Mr. Waters,
who had recently returned from the hospital was slowly convalescing
at his home in Humbird. Elizabeth was a bright and beautiful little
girl and her sudden and unexpected death has cast a deep gloom, not
only in the home of her parents, but in the home of her
grandparents as well, where she was a great favorite. The deepest
sympathy is felt for all of them in this community. The little body
was taken to Humbird for burial. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
