Boesnem, Nena (Marriage - 9 Sep 1918)

Mr. Richard Van Essen and Miss Nena Boesnem were married at the court house Sept. 9, 1918, Judge Schoengarth officiating. The groom is a young farmer of the town of Hewett, Clark County, Wis., who with his brother bought the Jacques farm about a year ago. The bride arrived in this country from Holland about two weeks ago, making the long journey alone to join her lover here. Of course she is yet a stranger to our country and language, but both she and her husband have the American spirit. A reception was given at the Van Essen home in the evening and a fine supper served. Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Goldamer furnished music for the dancing.
