COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 08/27/1886 DeLac, Lydia (29
JUN 1849 - 21 Augl 1886) Died, at her
residence near this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), on
Saturday, Aug. 21, 1886, of a complication of diseases, Lydia
Babcock, beloved wife of John Delac, aged 37 years, 1 month and 23
days. Lydia Babcock was
born in Pennsylvania, where she resided until her parents moved to
Olmsted Co., Minn, where she was married in 1873 to John DeLac, and
soon after removed with her husband to this vicinity, settling on a
farm about a mile from this village, residing here ever since,
excepting a few months spent last year with relatives in Dakota.
Being of a kind and loving disposition, she made many friends among
all her acquaintances here, and was noted chiefly by many kind acts
administered freely in a truly Christian Spirit. She leaves a large
circle of relatives and friends to mourn her loss, of the former,
parents, one brother and five sisters reside in Dakota. The
children are five in number, three boys and two girls, who are
left, thus young in years to mourn the loss of a truly good
mother. The funeral was
held at the residence on Sunday last and the remains placed to rest
in the Thorp village cemetery. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
