COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 05/29/1890 Mead, Elenora (30
Jul 1844 - 24 May 1890) Mrs. Elenora, wife
of our esteemed townsman Egbert Mead, died at her home three miles
south of this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) on Sunday last,
aged 45 years, 9 months and 25 days. On March 2nd of the present
year she was driving near Sterling when the horse got beyond her
control, throwing her from the cutter and severely injuring her
spine, causing paralysis, which finally resulted in her death.
Three weeks ago she was taken to the Sisters' Hospital at Chippewa
Falls, but returned here again on Wednesday of last week, having
received no benefit by treatment. She was born at Dunnville,
Alderman Co., Ontario, July 30, 1844, and was the mother of two
children, Mrs. Joseph Parker and son Charles, by her first
marriage. Some ten years since she removed with her present
husband, with whom she had been united in marriage but a short time
previously, to this place. Her funeral took place on Tuesday from
the M. E. Church, Rev. J. E. Webster officiating, and was attended
by a large concourse of friends and neighbors. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
