COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 10/09/1890 Bixby, Clara E.
(27 Jan 1870 - 3 Oct 1890) Died, at her home
in Eau Claire, on Friday, Oct. 3, 1890, Clara Elizabeth Bixby, aged
20 years, 8 months and 7 days. She was born at
Livonia, Sherburne Co., Minn., Jan. 27, 1870, and in 1881 removed
with her parents to this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), and
continued to reside here until two years ago, wince which time she
had been in the employ of a law firm at Eau Claire as stenographer.
For several years her health had been poor and during the two
months previous to her death, she suffered much. Having spent her
school days here, everybody know and respected her and all extend
sympathy to the sadly bereaved family in their great affliction. A
grief stricken father, sisters Daisy and Flora, and brothers Fred,
Ezra and Ernie, survive her. Her remains were interred in the Thorp
Cemetery beside her mother, who also died but a trifle over a year
ago. Rev. G. Brown conducted the funeral ceremonies and a large
concourse of sorrowing friends followed the remains to the grave on
Sunday last. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
