COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 10/19/1893 Langemak, Peter
Sr. (10 Dec 1809 - 15 Oct 1893) Peter Langemark
Sr., father of Mrs. Charles Tiedeman, died at 5 a.m. on Sunday Oct.
15, 1893, at his daughter's residence in this village (Thorp, Clark
County, Wis.), aged 83 years, 10 months and 5 days. Mr. Langemak
was born at Oestrade, Holstein, Germany, and immigrated with his
wife to this country in 1854, settling in New Holstein, Calumet
Co., Wis., where he continued to reside until seven years ago,
since which time he has made his home with his daughter in this
village. His wife preceded him to the grave, her death taking place
at New Holstein in 1876. His death was caused from a paralytic
stroke, which he suffered several days previous, from which, owing
to his great age, he was unable to rally and he sank peacefully "to
rest", surrounded by all his surviving children except one. He was
the father of seven children, Mrs. H. Severin, Mrs. H. Oseau, Peter
Jr., and William of New Holstein, and Mrs. Magdalena Tiedeman of
this village, the others having died several years since. His
remains were taken to New Holstein on Tuesday morning where the
funeral occurred the same day, the deceased being laid beside his
wife and two children. Numerous relatives from here accompanied the
remains to their final resting place. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
