(14 Feb 1978 - 8 Feb 2003) David L. Tessman,
24, Neillsville, Clark County, Wis., died on Saturday, Feb. 8,
2003, in a snowmobile accident east of Neillsville. Funeral
services were held at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Gesche
Funeral Home, Neillsville. The Rev. Douglas Bjerke of the Assembly
of God Church in Neillsville officiated. Burial was in the
Neillsville City Cemetery. Pallbearers were Kelly Reinart, Jason
Darling, Luke Smith, Steve Strunsee, Scott Strzok and Mike
Koprek. David LeRoy
Tessman was born on Feb. 14, 1978, in Belvidere, Ill., to Harold
and Shirley (nee Hoffschroer) Tessman. He attended school in
Illinois for a short time and then he and his family moved to
Neillsville in 1985. He graduated from Neillsville High School in
1996, and then went to work at Tom Harnish’s service station
for a short time. He then went to work as a mechanic at Roehl
Transport in Marshfield. He later worked at Russell’s
Hardware Store in Neillsville laying flooring and carpeting for
about a year, and then in September 1999 he was hired at the Clark
County Sheriff’s Department as a dispatcher/correctional
officer. His interests included hunting, fishing, 4-wheeling,
snowmobiling and camping. Survivors include
his fiancee, Laura Schreindl, Neillsville; his parents, Harold and
Shirley Tessman, Neillsville; eight brothers and sisters, Jennifer
(Brian) Barth, Neillsville, Todd (Stella) Tessman, Neillsville,
Christopher L. (Beth) Tessman, Garden Prairie, Ill., Curtis
(Sherilynn) Tessman, Stoughton, Corie (Robin) Tessman, Mineral
Springs, Texas, Sheila (Todd) Gunderson, Louisiana, Scott (Carmen)
Tessman, Rockford, Ill., and Michael Rohe, Lake Geneva; and many
aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Preceding him in
death were his grandparents. The Gesche Funeral
