Helfter, Mrs. George (11 Mar 1876 - 18 Feb 1895)

Mrs. George Helfter died on Tuesday morning last of a complication of typhoid fever and spinal meningitis, after an illness of about ten days. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. Derfus, and was born near Boyd, Wis. on March 11, 1876, and was united in marriage with Mr. Helfter on Jan. 25, 1893. The union was blessed with one child, a little girl now a little over one year old. Mrs. Helfter had been in ill health for several months, but not until a few days since was her illness deemed of a serious nature by herself or family. She was a kind and cheerful friend and neighbor and her untimely death is sincerely mourned by all that knew her. She leaves a husband and daughter, father and mother, and three sisters. The funeral will be held from the Catholic Church (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) tomorrow, the interment to take place in the Catholic Cemetery.
