COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 08/15/1895 Smith, Hughetta
(1867? - 12 Augl 1895) Mrs. Hughetta,
wife of Isaac A. Smith, died at her home at Grand Rapids on Monday
last, after a short illness, and the remains were brought to this
place (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.) on Tuesday and interred on Wednesday
in the Thorp Village Cemetery. The funeral occurred from the M. E.
Church, Rev. J. B. Bachman officiating. She was the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Thomas I. Steele of this village and was born in Sheboygan
Co., Wis. Her age was 28 years. In 1885 she was united in marriage
with Isaac A. Smith and resided here with her husband for a number
of years, removing from here to Neillsville, thence to Grand
Rapids, Wis., where they have made their home for th past two
years. Her sudden death is a great shock to relatives and friends
as she spent several days here but a few weeks ago, being then
apparently in good health. She leaves a husband, two children and
numerous relatives to mourn her untimely demise. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
