Garrison, Julia W. (28 Dec 1876 - 2 Sep 1895)

About ten o'clock on Monday morning Sept. 2, 1895, the silent messenger of death entered the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. O. Garrison and took therefrom its brightest gem. For months all that loving hands and medical skill could do to allay the suffering and bring back to new life was done but of no avail. The silent monster had touched her and but a short time intervened before he claimed his own.

Julia Winona Garrison was born at Winona, Minn., on Dec. 28, 1876, came here (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.) with her parents in 1880, where she spent her young life.

Funeral services were held at the home on Wednesday morning, Rev. J. B. Bachman officiating, the remains being taken to Centralia, Wis., where the burial took place the same day, being accompanied by all relatives and numerous friends.
