Hansen, Laura K. (10 Jul 1855 - 12 Nov 1895)

Early on Tuesday morning, Nov. 12, 1895, Mrs. Laura K. Rasmussen, beloved wife of Nils P. Hansen, died of hemorrhage at her home in this village (Thorp, Clark Co., Wis.) She was born at Aarsbou, Denmark, July 10, 1855, and was united in marriage with Mr. Hansen Feb. 19, 1882, and in May following immigrated to this country with her husband, settling first at Colby, Wis., where they resided seven years, removing to this village in 1889. She was a kind, generous and noble woman, devoted to her husband, family and home. Her husband and five children, Clara, Matea, Matilda, Etna and Ernest, besides her mother, brother and several sisters survive her. The funeral will occur from the M. E. Church on Friday at 2 p.m., Pastor Neilsen of Withee, officiating.
