Zimmer, Carolina (27 Jun 1841 - 23 Dec 1895)
Mrs. Carolina, wife of John Zimmer, died at her home in the town of Reseburg, Clark County, Wis., on Monday evening, Dec. 23, 1895, after several weeks of severe illness. Her maiden name was Carolina Pfrimmer, and she was born at Eckwersheim Elsas, Strasbourg, Germany, on Jun 27, 1841, and immigrated to Canada when but six years of age. In 1868 she was united in marriage with John Zimmer and nine years later came to the United States and soon after settled on their present farm in the town of Reseburg. She leaves to mourn her sad departure a devoted husband and three children, John Jr., Mrs. Peter Deforth, and Mrs. Charles Roesler, also a brother, Louis Pfrimmer, all of who are residents of this vicinity. The funeral arrangements are not completed at this writing, but it is expected that the interment will take place on Thursday from the Zimmer schoolhouse to the cemetery near her late home.
