COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 03/25/1897 Meyer, Elizabeth
(1833? - 19 Mar 1897) Mrs. Elizabeth
Meyer, wife of Henry Meyer of the town of Worden, Clark County,
Wis., died at her home of dropsy on Friday morning last, aged
sixty-three years. She was born at Hanover, Germany, and came with
her husband to America in 1869, settling in Chicago. Here they
resided until 1880, when they removed to New Holstein, Wis., and
after a three year residence there returned to Chicago and in 1885
came to Thorp and settled on their present farm in the town of
Worden. The funeral occurred on Sunday last and was conducted by
Henry Schultz, interment taking place owned by the Germania
Association of that town, a large concourse of friends and
neighbors following the remains to their last resting place.
Deceased leaves an aged husband and one son, Louis, who have the
sympathy of a large circle of friends in their bereavement. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
