Baumgartner of the town of Worden, Clark Co., Wis., committed
suicide by hanging herself on Monday afternoon last. She has shown
symptoms of insanity for some time past, without apparent cause and
was considered of the harmless order. On Monday evening about five
o'clock Mr. Baumgartner returned from a trip to Stanley and found
that during his absence she had hung herself in a small detached
building near the house on their farm. No inquest proceedings were
deemed necessary. The woman was about forty years of age, had been
