(10 Dec 1848 - 25? Apr 1902) The funeral of
Mrs. Fred Haak took place on Sunday afternoon last and was attended
by a large concourse of people, Rev. J. B. Bachman conducted the
services at the house, after which the remains were taken to the
German Cemetery in the town of Worden, where Henry Schultz read a
short burial service, and the remains were laid to rest beside her
daughter, Alvina, who died several years ago. Mrs. Haak was born in
Germany on Dec. 10, 1848, and came to New Holstein, this state,
with her mother and brother, Fred Bock, her father dying quite
suddenly while crossing the ocean on the trip to America. She
leaves a daughter, Miss Bertha and son, William, both of mature
age, and one brother, Mr. Fred Borck, of the town of Worden, who
have the sincere sympathy of all in their bereavement, to mourn her
untimely death.
