Kraut, Elsie B. (1 MAY 1910 - 8 Mar 2003)

ABBOTSFORD - Elsie Bertha Kraut, 92, of Abbotsford, Wisconsin, died Saturday, March 8, 2003, at the Continental Manor Nursing Home in Abbotsford, where she had resided since December. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 11 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Curtiss. Burial will be in Saint Paul's Lutheran Cemetery in the Town of Colby.

Elsie Bertha Karsten was born May 1, 1910, in Curtiss, Clark County, Wis. She married Franklin Kraut on Jan. 23, 1929.and was a housewife who farmed in the town of Green Grove. They moved to Abbotsford in 1973. She was an active member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid, the Clark County Deutscher Klub, the Midway Card Club and Clark County Homemakers.

Survivors include her husband, Franklin Kraut of Abbotsford; three daughters, Betty Boss of Abbotsford, Beverly Kraut of Madison and Bunee (Albert) Schultz of Rice Lake; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents and two brothers, Alfred Karsten and Harry Karsten.

Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford, assisted the family with arrangements.
