CENTENNIAL BOOK (Loyal, Clark County, Wis.) - 1970 Green, George George Green, who
became the first postmaster of the village (Loyal, Clark County,
Wis.), came in 1866. His record states that only one log house,
that of A. A. Graves, being here. This May indicate that A. A.
Graves and John Graves lived in the same house at first. In 1870 Green had
his first team and exchanged work with his neighbors. In 1871 he
took Mary Taylor as his bride and went west but returned before
long and worked in the sawmill. Their daughter,
