COURIER (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 06/23/1904 Meyer, Henry
(1833? - 17 Jun 1904) Henry Meyer, a
resident here (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), died on Friday evening
last of consumption at the age of seventy years. Mr. Meyer was born
in Germany and removed here with his wife and son from Kiel, Wis.,
about eighteen eyars ago. For a number of years they lived on a
farm in the town of Worden, where his wife died a number of eyars
ago, the son, Louis, also dying of consumption about six years
since. For the past six months Mr. Meyer has been gradually
failing, and owing to his advanced age, his battle with the disease
was only a question of a short time. He was a man of sterling,
upright qualities, honest and an excellent neighbor. During his
last illness he received the best of care and attention from Mrs.
L. Hilbo and family, with whom he resided. He left not a known
relative in this country. The funeral took place on Sunday
afternoon last from the residence, interment taking place at the
German Cemetery in the town of Worden. Rev. J. B. Bachman
officiated at the residence and Henry Schultz, an old neighbor in
the town, at the grave. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
