MAR 1823 - 15 Jun 1906) Mrs. Emaline Fults
died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. E. A. Boardman, in this
village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis., on Friday Jun 15, 1906, aged
83 years, 2 months and 17 days. Emaline Lawrence was born March 28,
1823, in Herkimer Co., N.Y. She moved with her parents to dodge
Co., Wis., in 1847, where the following year, she was united in
marriage with Joseph Fults. She leaves one brother, Howard Lawrence
of Plymouth, Wis., and two sisters, Mrs. C. Beman of Tracy, Minn.,
and Mrs. J. Turner of North Dakota, and one daughter, Mrs. E. A.
Boardman of the village. While residing near Columbus, Wis., in
1859, her husband started for the California gold fields, but was
never heard from after his departure, it being supposed that he met
death at the hands of Indians while making the overland trip across
the plains. The funeral took
place from the Boardman home at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday last, Rev. J.
