A POPULAR COUPLE, VAL VOLK AND BERTHA WEHRMAN ARE MARRIED.

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wehrman of the West Side was the scene of a happy occasion last Wednesday evening, Nov. 14, when thier daughter Bertha L. M. was united in marriage to Valentine Volk. The ceremony took place at nine o'clock; Rev. J. Schmalz officiating and using the ring service. The groom's brother, William, was groomsman and Caroline Wehrman, sister of the bride, was bridesmaid. The bride wore white cashimere and carried white chrysanthemums. There were thirty-five relatives present to witness the happy and solemn occasion. Those from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wolhaupt and three children of Antigo, uncle and anunt of the bride; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Gosse of Cleveland, cousins of the bride; and Mesdames Hermn Kleemen and Neis Anderson of Warrens, Minnl, also the bride's cousins. Mrs. Anderson was accompanied by her two children.

Following the ceremony a dwedding feast was enjoyed by all present. The happy couple were the recipients of many nice presents as well as congratulations and best wishes for a long and happy wedded life.

The groom is associated with his brother Jacob Volk and is in the merchant tailoring business and is prominent in musical and band circles and has a host of friends. The bride, though of a quiet, retiring nature, is held in high esteem by those who are fortunate enough to share her acquaintance. Mr. and Mrs. Volk will be at home for the present in a part of the Ed. Buker place where they will do light housekeeping.
