Poppe, Louisa (21 SEP 1841 - 5 Jul 1907)

Mrs. Louisa, wife of Gotlieb Poppe, died of cancer at her home in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) on Friday July 5, 1907, after an illness of several months. She was born in Germany on Sept. 21, 1841, and was united in marriage with Gotlieb Poppe in this village in 1882, where she has since resided. She leaves her aged husband and step-children to mourn the loss of a kind and devoted wife and indulgent mother. The funeral took place on Sunday afternoon, Rev. B. H. Schrein officiating, interment taking place in the Reseburg Cemetery.
