Sayles, George (30 MAR 1850 - 4 NOV 1908)
George Sayles, an old and respected resident of the town of Thorp, Clark County, Wis., died at his home, after an illness of but two days, on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 1908. Mr. Sayles was born at Theresa, Jefferson Co., N.Y., on March 30, 1850, where he grew to manhood, and in 1871 was united in marriage with Nancy Ann Warden. Twenty years ago he came west and located in the town of thorp, where he has since resided. Mr. Sayles was an honest upright citizen, and his death, which occurred quite unexpectedly, is deeply deplored by a large number of relatives and friends. He leaves a wife and one son, Arthur Sayles. The funeral will take place on Friday at 10 a. m. from the Lutheran Church near Eidsvold, Rev. Amy officiating, interment taking place in the cemetery at Eidsvold.
