Phillips, Eddie (17 NOV 1874 - 24 NOV 1908)

A telegram was received here (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) on Tuesday by Mrs. M. Phillips, announcing the death of her son, Eddie Phillips, at Gothenburgh, Neb. The body will be shipped here for interment and is expected to arrive today. No particulars have been received regarding his death. Deceased was 24 years old on Tuesday last.

The remains of Ed Phillips arrived here on Saturday last, the funeral taking place from the residence of his mother, Mrs. M. Phillips, on Sunday afternoon, Rev. J. B. Bachman officiating. The young man was accidentally killed at Gothenburg, Neb., on Nov. 24, 1908, by falling a distance of sixty feet from a water tower, under construction by a firm with whom he had been employed during the summer.
