Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 09/15/1910 Lausen, Peter (14
JAN 1839 - 14 Sep 1910) Died, at his home
in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), on Wednesday, Sept.
14, 1910, Mr. Peter Lausen, aged 71 years and 8 months. Mr. Lausen was
born in Kurburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, on Jan. 14, 1839. He
came to this country with his oldest brother in the year 1866, and
for many years followed the occupation of cabinet-maker and
carpenter in which lines he was an expert workman. In 1868 he was
united in marriage with Catherine Margaretha Banderob, who, with
three daughters, Mrs. W. Grogan and Mrs. M. Odlaug of Stanley, and
Miss Louise Lausen, survive him. In 1887 he came to
Thorp with his family, where he continued to reside until his
death. He was a veteran of the war between Germany and Denmark. Mr.
Lausen was an honest man, upright in all his dealing with his
fellow men, and a kind neighbor, and his bereaved wife and children
have the sincere sympathy of the entire community. The funeral will
take place on Friday afternoon, interment in the Thorp Village
Cemetery. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
