Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 04/04/1912 Banderob, Mrs.
George (1847 - 28 Mar 1912) Mrs. George
Banderob passed away Thursday morning at the Hotel Royal, where she
had lived the past few years with her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Sattler,
aged 64 years. She was born in Germany in 1847. She had been
suffering for the past few months from a fatal malady, and her
suffering had been so intense of late that death came as a sweet
relief. Deceased came to
America in 1857 and resided at Davenport, Iowa, where she was
united in marriage on Oct. 2, 1867, to George Banderob. From
Davenport they moved to New Holstein, Wis. and engaged in farming
fro 11 years, then came to this section and located on a farm near
Thorp, Clark County, Wis. in 1890. Since 1902 decease has lived
with her children here and at Thorp. Her husband preceded her in
death a few years ago. Eight children
were born to Mr. and Mrs. Banderob, seven of whom survive: Mmes.
Wm. Sattler, Joseph Klauck, Miss Anna and George Banderob of
Stanley, Louis of Eau Claire and Mmes. H. Friess and J. Rasmussen
of Thorp. One brother also survives her, Max Banderob. The funeral
will be held today from the Hotel Royal under German Lutheran
auspices and the remains will be taken to Thorp for interment. The deceased was
of a cheerful, sunny nature, dispensing good cheer all along the
pathway of life, and her kindness of heart and open handed
generosity made her friendship a boon eagerly sought and prized by
man. People, both her and at Thorp, will miss her kindly, genial
presence. (Stanley Republican) © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
