Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 09/26/1912 Jackey, William
(1863? - 20 Sep 1912) William Jackey,
who came here (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) about three weeks ago
from Everett, Wash., died of Bright's disease at the home of his
brother, Dr. F. D. Jackey, about 11:00 p.m. on Friday last.
Deceased has been troubled with the disease for about two years. He
came east in hopes the change of climate might improve his
condition, but the long journey had a serious effect and no doubt
hastened the end. He was forty-nine years of age, and had never
married. Short funeral services were held at the residence on
Saturday forenoon and the body was shipped to Ashland, Wis., for
interment. Mr. and Mrs. Jackey and Mrs. Eastman, a sister of
deceased, of Ashland, who arrived here a week ago, accompanied the
body to Ashland, where the funeral took place on Sunday. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
