Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 01/16/1913 Chapman, Ira (1834
- 7 Jan 1913) Mr. Ira Chapman,
one of the earliest settlers of this vicinity, died at his home in
this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), of old age on Tuesday of
last week. Mr. Chapman served with honor in the Civil War, was an
honest upright citizen and his death is much regretted. His aged
was seventy-eight years. He leaves a wife and three children,
Walter Chapman, Mrs. Mabel Depew and Mrs. Ed Schoolcraft. The
funeral took place from the residence on friday afternoon last,
Rev. J. B. Bachman officiating, interment taking place in the Thorp
