AUG 1835 - 2 Apr 1913) Mrs. Kate Story
died at her home in this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) on
Wednesday, April 2, 1913, aged 77 years. She was born at Canton,
Mass. on Aug. 30, 1835. Upon reaching mature age she was united in
marriage with John Story, who was wounded in battle while a soldier
in the Civil War in 1864, and died about a year later at Fort
Scarlet, N.Y. Mrs. Storey was one of the first settlers in the town
of Thorp, coming here in 1872 to take up a homestead. The funeral
took place from St. Bernard's Church at Thorp on Saturday last,
Father Neises officiating, interment taking place in the Catholic
Cemetery. She leaves two sons, Mat and Frank Storey of this place
