The dress is very similar to dresses worn by two of my family members in pictures in the early to mid 1880s. One person only in each picture. Raised collar, Dark , with tiny buttons down front of dress. Maybe 2- piece. Appears to be holding an item in hands,maybe small book ,as confirmation bible. Jane Rasmussen
