100 YEARS AGO (Jun 1, 1901)

Albert Butscher of Boyd is building an $8,000 home which will be an ornament to the eastern end of this county.

A 14-year old boy was killed by an electric street car.

70 YEARS AGO (May 29, 1931)

Captain L.W. Veeser received a citation from the Natl Commander of the American Legion for winning the championship in pistol shooting.

The first summer band concert by the Stanley Band will be given next week, under the direction of C.F. Harris.

60 YEARS AGO (May 30, 1941)

A comedy was given for the Class of 1941 by Miss Huginin and Miss Lyon. At graduation, Peggy Pace played the piano.

50 YEARS AGO (May 31, 1951)

Two boy scouts became Star scouts according to Scoutmaster Lloyd Berseth and they were Tom Huls and Gordon Long.

40 YEARS AGO (June 1, 1961)

Boyd American Legionnaires attending the Spring Conferent were Clarence Patten, Pat Fitzgerald and Mr. & Mrs. Albert Bourget.

25 YEARS AGO (May 27, 1976)
