100 YEARS AGO...

Mr & Mrs. Chas. Vetterkind had a son on Jan 4th.

During the year 1900 there were 288 births, 196 deaths and 169 marriages in Clark County.

R.E. Boehm is the editor of the Neillsville News, a new weekly paper.

A. Albert reported that the Thorp Creamery manufactured the following amount of butter: 1900 - 106,818 lbs.; 1899 - 108,792 lbs.

The following amounts of cheese were shipped from this station: Ed Karlen of Thorp, brick cheese, 1,137 lbs; J.B. Daugheetee of Reseburg 22,645 lbs; Frank Pritzl of Worden, 33,731 lbs.

75 YEARS AGO...

Mr & Mrs. Harold Mattes baby son, died at the age of 2 mos, 23 days on Saturday.

Mr & Mrs. John Kockerer and a daughter Dec. 29th.

Thos. Vanderwegan bought the building owned by Mrs. Max Weber last week.

Tony Switala, age 41, was found dead in the woods near his home last Tuesday.

J.W. Warner died of blood poisoning Monday.

Montell Solvrud and Sue Moore were wed Dec. 31, 1925 in Milwaukee.

Officers and directors of the Peoples State Bank are: W.R. McCutcheon, Pres; Geo. Zillman, Vice-Pres; R.G. Lawrence, Cashier; Geo. H. Plucinski, Asst. Cashier; Directors are W.R. McCuthcheon, Geo. Zillman, H. F. Hudson, S.M. Burns, C.W. Wolf.

50 YEARS AGO...

Carl Klouda, age 78, died on Tuesday at Stanley hospital.

Mr & Mrs. Roland C. Peterson had a baby girl on Dec. 17th in LaCrosse.

Mr & Mrs. Ted Papierniak nad a son on Dec. 31st.

Mr & Mrs. Walter Emmerson have a new grand-daughter born on Dec. 28th to Mr. & Mrs. Wm. Nourse.

Mr & Mrs. Orrie Schley had a daughter on Dec. 24th.

John L. Wojcik, age 36 died on Dec. 19, 1951 at Eau Claire Hospital.

Mr & Mrs. John Misiora had a son Dec. 29th.

25 YEARS AGO...

Kurt Michael Dallas, age 18 months, died Jan 2nd in Marshfield.

Edward Broda, age 52, died suddenly in Chicago on Dec. 31st.

Mr & Mrs. Richard Rosemeyer had a son Jan. 1st.

Dr. John Aumann received his degree a Doctor of Chiropratics.

Dr. & Mrs. John (Bob) Boardman had a son on Jan 4th.

Helen Piatek, age 70, died in Chicago on Dec. 27th.

Chester Kenneth Copenhaver, age 76, died Jan 1st in Stanley.

Martha M. Bogumill, age 84, died Jan. 2 in Waupaca.

William F. Dollen, age 60 died Dec. 26th in Chicago.

Jeanette Fitzsimmons, age 64, died Jan 5th.
