100 YEARS AGO...

John McGrogan’s ice delivery wagon is very busy these days.

Mr & Mrs. Frank Lauren had a son on July 22nd.

Thos. Stele Jr. completed the harvest last week.

Isaac LaGasse, 12 years old, visited his sisters Mrs. H.E. Howard and Mary LaGasse last week.

C. Johnson will build the electric power house starting to lay bricks August 1st.

75 YEARS AGO...

Mr & Mrs. M. Girard had twin boys and they were born at the home of Mrs. John Aucutt.

Ed Beller is building a new barn.

A marriage license was issued to Stanley Kinast and Mary Wojcik.

Edwin R. Wiley, age 75, died July 13th in Thorp.

John Kaminski, also known as Mr. Stein, died last week.

Rev. Szymczak has replaced Rev. Karcz at St. Joseph’s and Rev. Karca will go to Knowlton.

Bertha Verwooren, age 12 and Katherine Debold, age 14, were killed July 18th by lightning.

J.R. Amacker bought the Stanley diary and Warehouse Co. last week.

50 YEARS AGO...

Maynard H. Thompson was killed in action in Korea Feb. 14th.

Mrs. Arthur Long, age 50, died a week ago Tuesday in Stanley.

Math Lauer, age 68, died in Stanley on Sunday.

Alice Elizabeth Jacobs, age 46 died July 14th.

On July 7th, Geraldine Milewski and Harry Bons were married.

Mr & Mrs. Everett Johnson had a son on July 11th.

Laurel Lucille Bivans and Clayton Douglas Flora were wed Saturday morning.

On June 16th, Mary Phelps and Donald Benzschawel were wed.

Clara Szatalowicz & C. Wayne Gifford were wed.

25 YEARS AGO...

Michael Graikowski, age 95, died July 14th.

Marie (Romfore) McNeely, died July 19th.

Valino Talso, age 63, died July 14th of a heart attack.

Kate Soeller, age 87, died July 14th in Stanley.

Rachel Burtard and Edward Hendzel were wed July 19th in Thorp.

Ragnhild Wuethrich, age 71, died July 18th.

10 YEARS AGO...

Frank Kolaczkowski, age 86, died July 21st.

Conrad Mendalski, age 62, died July 18th in Elmhurst, IL

Zachary Richard Baures and Kyle Joseph Truckey were baptized July 21st.

Charles & Lorraine Alger of Shell Lake had a daughter July 21st.

Neil Peleschak and Deanna Deschler had a daughter on July 9th.

Julie A. Slipek and Mark A. Strautman were wed June 15th.

Gail D. Cook and Daryl W. Dunlap were wed July 6th.
