Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 01/21/1915 Schultz, Andrew
(1884? - 13 Jan 1915) Andrew Schultz was
found in a room at the home of his mother, Mrs. M. Manczuk, in this
village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) on Wednesday of last week, with
a bullet wound through his head. A younger brother heard the shot
and summoned Dr. McCutcheon and others. Schultz was found
unconscious, in which condition he remained for twenty-seven hours
after the shooting, when death took place. Mr. Schultz was thirty
years of age and for several years had been the sole support of his
mother, who is at present quite ill with rheumatism. For a number
of years deceased was employed at Colby Bros. Mill. The shot was
fired from a thirty-two caliber revolver, but whether accidentally
or intentionally, is a mystery. Mr. Schultz was a quiet,
well-behaved young man and his tragic death is generally regretted.
The funeral took place on Saturday morning from St. Hedwig's
Church, Father Pudlo officiating, interment taking place in the
nearby cemetery. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
