Lantz, Mary Jane (1 Apr 1833 - 27 Dec 1915)

Mrs. P. Lantz died at the home of her son, B. E. Lantz, at Rice Lake, Wis., on Monday, Dec. 27, 1915. The remains were brought here (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) to the home of S. S. Warner on Tuesday.

Mary Jane Sheldon was born in Onondaga Co., N.Y., April 1, 1833, and was married at Dearborn, Mich. on Jan. 2, 1855 to the late P. F. Lantz, who died May 17, 1913. She came to Longwood, Clark County in March 1882, where the family resided on a farm until 1900, when they removed to this village. About a year ago deceased went to Rice Lake to reside with her son. She leaves to mourn four sons, Perry A. of Paris, Mich., George F. of Minneapolis, Walter A. of Chicago and Bradley E. of Rice Lake. The funeral took place from the M. E. Church on Thursday last, Rev. A.M. Ivey officiating, interment took place in the Thorp Village Cemetery beside the remains of her husband.
