Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 07/27/1916 Pagel, Mary (31
JAN 1892 - 21 Jul 1916) After an illness
extending over a period of nearly four weeks, Mrs. William Pagel
died of puerperal fever at her home in the town of Reseberg, Clark
County, Wis., on Friday, July 21, 1916, aged 24 years, 5 months and
22 days. Mary Koch was born at Pearl City, Ill., and was united in
marriage with Wm. Pagel on June 9, 1915. All the care and love that
skilled physicians and an anxious household could devise and apply
for her comfort and assistance were brought into play, bu the fiat
of Him who rules our incomings and outgoings had been issued and
after a brief struggle despite prayers and entreaties of all who
knew and loved her, their appeals were overruled and the sufferer's
spirit took flight to that home the Christian believes is the
fulfillment of life everlasting. Her life was a rare jewel, her
spirit as gold refined in the fire ready for heaven. The funeral
took place on Sunday last from the Lutheran Church nearby, Rev.
Schwertfeger of Withee officiating, interment following in the
Reseberg Sylvan Cemetery. She leaves to mourn her untimely death
her husband and babe four weeks old, her parents, four sisters and
six brothers. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
