Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 04/12/1917 Moeller, Mary L.
(1 Feb 1852 - 8 Apr 1917) Mary Lorenz
Moeller was born in Germany on Feb. 1, 1852, where she grew to
womanhood, when she was united in marriage to Johann Moeller. In
1883 they came to New Holstein, Calumet Co., Wis., where they
resided for four years and in 1887 came to Thorp, Clark County,
Wis. and located on a farm west of the village. Her death occurred
on Sunday last after several months suffering from Bright's
disease. After a long, useful life she died as she had lived --
honored, trusted and loved. She reared her own monument while she
lived in the hearts of all who knew her. Her life work was
completed if work all done and well done constitutes completion.
She was the mother of nine children, five sons and four daughters,
one of the former, and her husband, passing away several years ago.
The children left to mourn are John Moeller of Sigourney, Iowa,
Hans and Henry of Stanley, Mrs. Mary Peterson of the town of
Worden, Claude, Karl, Emma and Clara at home. The funeral took
place yesterday afternoon, Rev. Schwertfeger officiating, interment
following in the town of Worden Cemetery. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
