Lindemann, Mrs. Daniel (20 NOV 1837 - 28 JUN 1917)

A note received from Mrs. Ferdinand F. Schultz of Kenosha, Wis., informs the Courier of the death of Mrs. Daniel Lindemann (nee Tiedemann), which occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Messner, at Reed City, Mich., on June 28, 1917. Mrs. Lindemann and her husband lived here (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) on a farm from 1884 to 1893, when they moved to Reed City, where Mr. Lindemann died in 1903. Mrs. Lindemann was born in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany on Nov. 20, 1837. In 1852 she came with her parents to America, the family settling in Calumet Co., Wis, where she was united in marriage with Daniel Lindemann on Jan. 25, 1856. This union was blessed with six children, two sons and four daughters. Of these one son died in infancy and the remaining son, Henry Lindemann, passed from this life on May 2 of the present year. The four daughters, Mrs. George Messner and Mrs. Helen Wagner of Reed City, Mrs. Anna Hohnstratter of St. Louis, Mo., and Mrs. Ferd. Schultz of Kenosha, survive. Deceased will be kindly remembered by many residents here and former neighbors and friends.
