Panek, John (1873 - 14 Dec 1918)

John Panek of the town of Withee, Clark County, Wis., died at the hospital at Marshfield on Saturday, Dec. 14, 1918. He was taken ill a few days previous with appendicitis and upon arriving at the hospital an operation was performed, which proved of no avail and after lingering for two days he passed away. The body arrived here on Monday and the funeral took place on Wednesday from St. Hedwig's Church, Father Pudlo officiating. Deceased was a good citizen and enjoyed the fellowship of a large circle of friends. His age was forty-five years. He leaves to mourn his untimely death, his wife and eight children, who have the sincere sympathy of the community in their great bereavement.
