died at the home of her son-in-law, J. D. Elmendorf, on Monday,
Jan. 27, 1919. Aged about 70 years. She was an old resident of this
village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.), coming here with her husband
over thirty years ago. Mr. Alger died about 28 years ago. Mrs.
Alger has suffered with a cancer for the past year and a half. She leaves one
son, George Alger of the town of Worden, Clark County, Wis., and
two brothers, John Hoffman of the town of Thorp, and Eugene Hoffman
of Kendall, Wis. The funeral took
place on Wednesday morning from the M. E. Church, Rev. George Crow
officiating, six of the deceased's grandsons acting as pallbearers.
