Courier (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) 07/10/1919 Verweyst,
Cornelius (1843? - 6 Jul 1919) Cornelius
Verweyst, for many years an honored resident here (Thorp, Clark
County, Wis.), died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Maurice Huls,
at Stanley on Sunday last. Gallstones, we understand, was the
cause. Mr. Verweyst had reached the age of seventy-six years. For a
number of years he lived in Calumet Co., Wis., where his wife died
about twenty years ago, coming to Thorp later where he has made his
home since. He leaves to mourn
his passing, his son Rudolph Verweyst and daughter, Mrs. Arnold
Vandehey of the town of Thorp, H. Verweyst and Mrs. Maurice Huls of
Stanley, daughters residing at Marshfield and Milwaukee, also a
brother, Rev. Verweyst of Odanah, Wis. The funeral took
place yesterday from St. Bernard's Catholic Church in this village,
Father Neises officiating, burial taking place in the Catholic
Cemetery. © Every submission is protected by the Digital Millennium Copyright Act
