S. C. BOARDMAN
Republican candidate for Coroner, has passed through two or three hot political campaigns in Clark County, Wisconsin, unscathed! What more can be said for a man? We want him for Coroner, because it will be so appropriate for him to conduct the inquest over the political sore heads who are certain to be slaughtered next Tuesday.
VOTE FOR HIM!

S. C. Boardman, ex-treasurer of the county, appeared before the county board
yesterday and asked that the judgments held against him by the county, amounting
to $9,566.66, be cancelled, for the reason that he was not justly indebted to
the county, the deficiency for which he was held having been the result of the
dishonest practices of his deputy, W. C. Allen, and for the further reason that
he was unable to pay the amount demanded or any other amount to the county. The
matter was referred to a special committee, the report of which was not
favorable to granting the petition, and it was finally denied by the board. S.
C. BOARDMAN, retired, Neillsville, born in Yates Co., N. Y., July 10, 1849, on

survey with E. Seers previous to this time. He went to surveying, and carried it
on until 1868; in 1876, entered the mercantile business; retired and took a trip
