(1833? - 8 Jul 1897) William S. Warner,
an old and respected resident, died at his farm home one mile west
of this village (Thorp, Clark County, Wis.) on Thursday evening
last, aged sixty-four years. Mr. Warner had been affected with
rheumatism of a severe nature for several years past and was a
great sufferer. He moved here with his family thirteen eyars ago,
his wife joining the silent majority four years since. He leaves
three brothers, Sylvanus S., Jonathan B. Warner, and James A.
Warner of Plessisy, N.Y., and one sister, Mrs. Nancy Cradle of
Neeham, Wis., also six sons, Monroe of Elroy, Martlo, Omer, Arie,
Otto and Willie, and two daughters, Mrs. Wm. Bowie and Ethel. Mr.
Warner was also an army veteran, a delegation of members of the
local G. A. R. Post acting as pallbearers at the funeral, which
took place from the house on Saturday afternoon last, Rev. C. W.
Meacham of the Baptist Church conducting the services, burial
